CSRN, BCSN to broadcast Southwest Airlines State Fair Classic
Fuquay-Varina, NC – As part of its partnership with ALW Entertainment, rights holder of the Southwest Airlines State Fair Classic, Classics Sports Radio Network, a subsidiary of DWCommunications, LLC, will broadcast live the Southwest Airlines State Fair Classic featuring the Grambling State Tigers and the Prairie View and A&M Panthers Saturday, October 3 from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. Broadcast time will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET with the pregame show. Radio stations that are confirmed to carry the game include WBOK-AM 1230 in New Orleans, KGGR-AM 1040 in Dallas and KKGM-AM 1660 in Fort Worth. The game can also be heard on the Internet at www.classicsportsradio.com. Other stations could be added as well.
CSRN will also partner with Black College Sports Network to bring audio as well as visuals of the game. Fans will be able to go on line to www.classicsportsradio.com or www.blackcollegesportsnetwork.com to watch the game.
Donal Ware will handle the play-by-play duties, Eric Curry will handle color commentary, and the “Sports Diva” LaToya Hardaway will handle sideline duties. As part of the pregame show CSRN will interview live Prairie View A&M coach Henry Frazier and Grambling head coach Rod Broadway. Halftime guests will be determined, but last year actor Michael Thomas Ford appeared with the crew during halftime.
This is the second year that CSRN will broadcast the State Fair Classic.
In this its second season, CSRN has provided live play-by-play broadcasts of five (5) games including the MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Orlando, the Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis and the Atlanta Football Classic.
